HicksStrong Hug Mugs: Bringing Comfort to Our Deployed Service Members

As we entered 2024, HicksStrong Inc. ignited a special enthusiasm for our annual holiday mug handout. This year was particularly meaningful. Our goal was to reach out to those serving our country and offer them a comforting piece of home. We shipped 48 HicksStrong Hug Mugs, accompanied by heartfelt letters from Girl Scout Troop 5111 in NY to NY Air National Guard service members deployed in Jordan. The experience exceeded our expectations, spreading warmth and joy among those far from their loved ones.

The Intent Behind Hug Mugs

After we lost Macoy, we asked one of his shipmates what is something every sailor wants or needs. Their response was simply a hug. Each Hug Mug is our way to embrace every service member and remind them that they are not alone. Help is always available.

At HicksStrong, we believe in the power of connection. Our Hug Mugs symbolize warmth, support, and community. Service members face significant challenges, especially during holidays when they are separated from family and friends. We hoped that by adding a personal touch, we could bring comfort to their lives.

We specifically chose the Air National Guard to honor their dedication and sacrifices. Sending these mugs overseas was our way of saying “thank you,” reminding them that they are appreciated and supported from afar.
